Barely 6-months ago back in Seoul when I first saw the 2ne1 (South Korean hip hop girl group) performed at the 2010 YG Family Concert. Far from my imagination, that 2ne1 will do a showcase in Manila and they did! It was 2ne1: The Party held at Araneta Coliseum yesterday, 2011 June 4. Much to this excitement, about 6 weeks earlier when I bought our tickets for the show. This anticipated 2ne1 in Manila did not started and ended to just the showcase but beyond what I had experienced yesterday.
This is a short story on my random thoughts about my 2ne1 encounters with Mumai.
Grand Ballroom - Intercontinental Hotel
PRESSCON. It was a first time experience for me to attend a press conference for any celebrity and more than lucky enough to a Kpop artist that is 2ne1. Thankful for the opportunity as one of the representative of YG United, a weblog fan base site and it was made possible by Mumai's effort! I am equipped with my pinklens as this is mainly a photo-op and a chance to meet them up-close. A very long wait to forever but everyone inside the grand ballroom was stunned upon the arrival of 2ne1. I instantly started taking photos and videos alternately thou my hands were little shaky at times. I found a best spot rubbing elbows with the rest of media cameramen right in front of these four lovely 2ne1 girls. Not to mention seeing few showbiz personalities like Iya Villania for Myx, Grace Lee for GMA7 and Ms. Korina (on a later instance after the presscon). Questions and answers begun. I find it cute how Dara manage to answer in Filipino dialect fluently. Truly she won every Filipino hearts as always. I equally like 2ne1 girls but my heart fell for Minzy when she picks Taeyang to have a dance showdown. Yes~ Taeyang is my Big Bang bias! A mere mention of his name that afternoon is really something to spazz about. Presscon was over~ and I got bulk of photos and vids to take home! We stayed a little longer at the hotel and saw Dara again as she passed by her waiting fans calling her Sandy/Sandara~ despite of tight securities, Dara looked back and extended her hand to one of the 'Parkers fan' who personally handed the letter to Dara! ~ so lucky fan!

THE PARTY at Araneta Coliseum. We initially planned to buy a VVip/Vip tickets for this show but later on decided to seat at the lower box section instead~ which we saved half of the price! After 2-hours performance of fronts act guests, a loud siren signaled the start of 2ne1 show! 2ne1 started the show with their debut hit single "Fire". The crowd~ Pinoy Blackjacks were all singing and dancing to 2ne1's music. They performed their hits~ 5 songs and 2 as encore. I was moved watching their live performance of "Lonely"~ currently my fave 2ne1 song. It was a short 35-mins Partying with 2ne1. Thou everyone was expecting MORE including me, as they could atleast sang 2 more songs: I want "It Hurts" and there should be one solo performance by Bom if not her new single "Don't Cry" atleast "You & I"~ but I must say I still had fun and enjoyed it.
2ne1 in Manila - "The Party"
STALKING at Bubba Gump. Stalking was not part of the plan. We headed straight to Starbucks G5, a bit hungry so I had a frappe and a wrap~ just killing hunger and time. Then a twit message lead us to stalking~ we headed straight to Greenbelt 3. We had our very own After party dinner at Bubba Gump~ where 2ne1 had their After party inside the function room at the other side of the restaurant. Patiently waited while we ate a bit at our table near the entrance door. It's time~ I saw CL and the manager walking towards the entrance door. I missed a glimpsed of Minzy who was closely behind CL~ shyly walked with her head bowed as she exits. But Dara is hard to miss~ we greeted 'Hi Sandara' and she smiled back and responded with sweet voice saying 'Hello' to us. So nice of her to pause a second as she passed by our table. It was so quick~ I was starstruck! But I can clearly remember her face~ up close. Beside her is Park Bom who wave back saying Hello too. Surreal moment of 2ne1 encounter. We went back again at a coffee shop, we were up all-night just spazzing our 2ne1 in Manila experience that was. Parted home at 7:30 am ~ a fail attempt to bid farewell to 2ne1 who were still checked-in the hotel earlier today. It was a very tiring yet happy and memorable long 2ne1-day Fangirling experience that ends well.☺

Spring Days
This December~~straight from Incheon airport, Mumai and I went to Daejeon to meet Yooji and her Family. It was a short overnight trip... now wanting to see more of Daejeon next time.
